Sustainable economic growth requires entrepreneurship as entrepreneurs create new jobs, contribute to economic expansion, and become stakeholders in supporting a healthy business environment. As Nigeria currently faces economic crisis and an increasing rate of unemployment, promoting entrepreneurship especially among youths is pertinent to job creation and alleviating the crisis.
To encourage entrepreneurship, Treasure Jars Youth Centre organizes a business networking event for entrepreneurs tagged ‘Le Rendezvous’. The event provides a platform for entrepreneurs and business-minded people to meet, network, share and exchange ideas and contacts. The event harnesses the power of networking, bringing businesses together with potential clients. Guest speakers who are seasoned business men and women are also hosted from which attendees learn. The next edition of Le Rendezvous will hold on Saturday, 23rd January 2016.
In collaboration with The United State Department of State Treasure Jars Youth Centre is organizing Entrepreneurship Trainings in 2016 for youths between ages 18 and 35 years living in Osogbo. The first batch of the training holds 8th to 12th February 2016. Applications are on-going and will close on 19th January 2016.
