United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) defines life skills as ‘the psychosocial abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life’. These include skills that enable one to analyse and think critically to make informed decisions, interpersonal skills for interacting and effectively communication with others and skills for managing oneself.
Treasure Jars Youth Centre incorporates Life Skills building into the Sexuality Education programmes it organizes in secondary schools.
